Program Coordinator - Public Safety Executive Protection Support Services

GENERAL SUMMARY
Ensures the personal security of key executives by overseeing protective strategies, coordinating logistics, and supervising public safety personnel who support executive protection. Develops and implements procedures to mitigate risk, manage secure travel, and safeguard individuals and assets.
Essential Functions
+ Develops executive protection protocols and procedures that address risk assessment, secure transportation, and personal security requirements for the WellSpan leadership team members.
+ Responds promptly to requests for executive protection, collaborates with part-time public safety officers and leadership, and follows established protocols to maintain confidentiality and safety.
+ Coordinates staffing schedules for full-time and part-time personnel assigned to executive protection duties to ensure consistent coverage.
+ Trains and ensures public safety team members are trained and certified in protective strategies, emergency response protocols, and safe driving practices specific to executive protection.
+ Conducts advance planning for executive travel, including route analysis, venue assessments, and overall risk mitigation strategies.
+ Responds to emergency or high-risk situations, using established escalation and de-escalation practices to protect personnel and property.
+ Collaborates with internal departments and external agencies (e.g., law enforcement) for event security planning, investigations, and information sharing.
+ Oversees budgeting and resource allocation for executive protection services to maintain operational effectiveness within financial guidelines.
+ Prepares reports, incident documentation, and after-action summaries for leadership review, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
+ Evaluates performance of assigned public safety team members, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and implementing corrective action when needed.
+ Implements improvements in procedures, training, and protocols to enhance the overall effectiveness of executive protection services.
+ Monitors compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations to uphold safe and lawful security practices.

+ Participates in projects, details, or assignments as assigned by the Vice President of Public Safety.
Minimum Education:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety Administration, or Business Administration Required
Work Experience:
+ 7 years experience in Executive Protection or Program Administration Required
Licenses and Certifications:
+ Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management Required
+ Act 120 Certification Required
Courses and Training:
+ Comprehensive Executive Protection Certifications within 9 months of hire Required
