1st shift Direct Hire Machinist

Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $28.17 per hour + $1 increase after 90 days!

**_Kelly_** _has partnered with a world leader in the design and manufacture of high-reliability Pressure Transducers, Materials Test Measurement Instruments, and low-tonnage mechanical presses, is seeking experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to join their team!_

Job Objective:

Set up and operate CNC control machines and manual machines, utilizing knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics, materials machinability, and layout techniques. The ideal candidate will be skilled in machine set-ups, programming, and operation, with the ability to read prints and inspect work with precision using inspection tools.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform machine set-ups and edits or writes CNC programs.

+ Operate CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts.

+ Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools.

+ Collaborate well with a team and take direction efficiently.

+ Ensure attention to detail and uphold quality standards.

Requirements:

+ Strong mechanical inclination.

+ Proficiency in reading prints and understanding fixturing/tooling.

+ Excellent math skills and knowledge of machine shop processes.

+ Ability to inspect work accurately.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

+ Ability to remain on one’s feet in an upright position for the duration of a shift while working on the CNC machine

+ Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 10 to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

+ Skilled in using hands to seize, hold, grasp, turn, and position tooling for CNC machine setup.

+ Proficient in using fingers and hands to reach, handle, and feel tools and workpieces during machine operation and inspection.

+ Ability to see clearly at a working distance of 20 inches or less for accurate machine setup and inspection.

+ Exposure to constant noise levels, requiring the ability to communicate above normal conversation volume due to machinery and equipment noise.
