Summary:
The Reality Labs team seeks a Silicon Prototyping Engineer to help building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of silicon, hardware, software, and content. Our End-to-End (E2E) prototyping team enables this testing by creating systems from a mix of off-the-shelf components, internal IPs and SoCs at various maturity levels, and representative mock-ups for new investigations. In this role, you ideally should have experience working with some of the following; FPGA platforms, boards, sensors, displays, RTL design/verification, CV/ML/Gfx algorithms, virtual platforms, OS/RTOS kernel, driver software and architectures.
Required Skills:
Silicon Prototyping FPGA Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Own IP-level or components of SoC level pre-silicon deployment efforts and ensure timely delivery of FPGA prototyping systems to end-users.
2. Develop FPGA model builds and build frameworks, strategies and methodologies to help automate provisioning of prototyping platforms.
3. Come up with solutions to effectively model end-to-end systems using FPGA together with other N-1 silicon platforms.
4. Work closely with product engineers, algorithm engineers, software engineers, architects and designers to quickly prototype, bring-up and troubleshoot new end user experiences and features.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
5. 3+ years of multi-FPGA prototyping experience on platforms such as HAPS or Protium as well as experience with compilation, debug and partitioning for such platforms.
6. Expertise in FPGA implementation including logic synthesis, timing closure, constraint tuning and placement and routing for FPGA prototypes/designs.
7. Expertise in bringing-up and debugging FPGA prototyping platforms leveraging DV/simulation environments for HW debug and JTAG/UART interfaces for software debug.
8. Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash and TCL.
9. Experience in RTL development for custom FPGA prototypes/designs and proficient in working with Verilog, SystemVerilog.
10. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
11. Experience debugging and extracting solutions from vague descriptions of system architecture and workloads.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
12. Experience with system-on-chip high-speed I/Os such as MIPI CSI & DSI, USB, PCIE, LPDDR.
13. Experience of dealing with ambiguity in a fast changing consumer electronics field.
14. Knowledge of chip architecture, µArchitecture, design and UVM design verification experience.
