    As an Audiologist, you will provide hearing tests and aids using family-centered care and attention. In this role, you will ensure patients have a comfortable, welcoming and inviting experience throughout the whole process. A calm attitude can make a lasting difference in the lives of these patients every day.

     

    A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

    A caregiver who excels in this role will:

    + Provide clinical diagnostic and management services for hearing, balance and tinnitus disorders/impairment using family-centered care.

    + Provide services in designated clinical space, inpatient hospital space and/or operating room, as needed.

    + Document and maintain accurate records for all services provided to patients.

    + Complete administrative tasks such as inventory, placing POs, ordering devices and supplies.

    + Ensure performance of daily and monthly equipment checks and biological calibrations.

    + Participate in resident education as requested.

    + Provide direct and indirect supervision of student interns and Au.D students, as requested.

    Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

    + Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)

    + Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license to practice audiology upon hire

    + Certificate of Clinical Competence Audiology (CCC-A) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within new hire period

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to assist patients with mobility problems.

    + Good hand dexterity to manipulate small objects associated with hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.

    + Ability to push carts which carry audiology test equipment.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
