    What you'll be doing

     

    Reporting to the Manager, US Change Initiatives Business Effectiveness, the Sr. Consultant, Project Reporting & Analysis is accountable for executing project financial reporting in the US Region’s Change Initiatives Reporting & Metrics function. The role will provide aggregate reporting & insights on project business cases, financial project metrics and risks within the US initiatives portfolio. The role will ensure completeness & accuracy throughout the project reporting process, and distribute the key reports to senior management, committees, LOB leaders, and other stakeholders.

    How you'll succeed

    + Design, execute, and distribute the group’s project financial analysis reports to provide an aggregated view and insights to senior management and committees.

    + Design, develop, and execute metrics and thresholds to monitor the risk and performance of CUSO portfolio financial performance to forecast and budget.

    + Produce routine and ad-hoc reporting for senior management, committees and other stakeholders.

    + Validate financial metrics within project business cases and provide ongoing financial metric oversight to ensure accuracy and consistency across change initiatives [or projects and programs]

    + Perform regular review and challenge of accuracy of financial forecasts, alignment to business cases, and identify any risks and issues for potential escalation.

    + Create and maintain a portfolio level financial forecast for executive review.

    + Identify and execute enhancement to reporting as needed, including report designs, processes, and technology

    + Act as liaison with Project finance team to drive consistency with reporting, management and implementation of changes in practice related to Project Finance processes, ensure data inputs are accurate, and provide subject matter expertise for project financial reporting

    + Support the creation and maintenance of interaction model between business sponsors, project/program managers and finance, establish project/program management financial management, tracking, and oversight standards and supporting procedures

    Who you are

    + You have 6-8 years of experience in reporting & analysis functions.

    + You possess a required Bachelor’s degree.

    + You are an expert in data analytics and strong system knowledge in BI/Data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.

    + You acknowledge high level knowledge across business lines and functions.

    + You portray expertise in reporting and metrics design, including key financial metrics and project performance indicators.

    + You have advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required.

    + You have strong critical and strategic thinking ability; detail oriented and analytical.

    + You posses executive presentation skills and effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders

    + You show strong leadership and team management skills

    + You have knowledge of business units and project management processes.

     

    At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $115K - $130K for the Chicago based market on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
