    We

    are seeking an experienced Database Analyst or Database Systems Programmer with

    a minimum of 8 years of experience working with zDb2. The ideal candidate will

    have strong expertise in mainframe database technologies, including z/Db2, IMS

    DB/DC, and/or ADABAS. This role involves overseeing database systems,

    optimizing performance, managing upgrades, and supporting application teams to

    implement new technologies that align with business goals.

     

    Key

    Responsibilities:

    + DatabaseAdministration & Maintenance:

    o Manage and maintain IBM DB2 databases on the

    z/OS mainframe platform.

     

    o Create and manage database objects, such as

    tables, indexes, and table spaces.

     

    o Perform data manipulation operations like

    loading, unloading, and reorganizing data using DB2 utilities.

     

    o Implement database backup and recovery

    strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.

     

    + PerformanceMonitoring & Optimization:

    o Monitor database performance metrics to

    identify and resolve bottlenecks.

     

    o Perform database tuning to enhance query

    performance and maintain optimal system functioning.

     

    o Utilize tools like RUNSTATS to maintain

    accurate database statistics for query optimization.

     

    Collaboration &

    Consultation:

    o Develop and maintain effective communication

    with application teams regarding infrastructure technology projects and

    roadmaps.

     

    o Serve as a consultant to application teams

    and business users on new technologies and system enhancements.

     

    o Collaborate with application developers to

    design and implement database schema changes.

     

    + Software & SystemManagement:

    o Oversee external DBA teams and systems

    programmers during the installation and support of mainframe database software.

     

    o Facilitate service level management,

    including change management, incident, and problem management.

     

    o Stay current with software upgrades, ensuring

    timely implementation of new features that enhance Delta applications.

     

    o Work with external vendor teams to ensure

    smooth conversions during software updates and releases.

     

    o Proactively monitor database platforms for

    high availability, identifying root causes and correcting issues.

     

    + Risk Management &Compliance:

    o Keep management informed of risks and develop

    mitigation strategies to reduce potential risks.

     

    o Participate in audit reviews, including

    completing quarterly SOX audits and ensuring compliance with regulations.

     

    + Disaster Recovery& Business Continuity:

    o Participate in disaster recovery planning and

    testing, ensuring database resilience in case of system failures.

     

    + Technology Strategy& Lifecycle Management:

    o Stay up-to-date on advancements in database

    technologies and lifecycle management, particularly focusing on deprecated

    features and mitigation planning.

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    + Minimum of 8 years ofexperience with zDb2, IMS DB/DC, and/or ADABAS.

    + Proficiency withreplication software such as IIDR – IBM Infosphere Data Replication Suite.

    + Strong understandingof zConnect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) API framework.

    + Expertise in IBM DB2database administration on z/OS mainframe platforms.

    + In-depth knowledge ofSQL, DB2 partitioning, indexing, data sharing, and performance tuningtechniques.

    + Experience withmainframe operating system concepts and Job Control Language (JCL).

    + Familiarity with datasecurity best practices and compliance regulations.

    + Ability totroubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues.

    + Strong experience inmanaging database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.

    + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

    + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

    + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

    + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    + Knowledge of IBM DB2,IMS DB/DC, and ADABAS database products.

    + Familiarity withservice level management, change management, and incident resolution.

    + Experience workingwith external vendors and managing software upgrades.

    Education

    & Certification Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalentexperience).

    + Relevantcertifications in DB2 or related database technologies are a plus.

     

    Work

    Environment:

    + Full-time, withon-call support and responsibilities for managing database platforms andapplications.

    + Collaboration withvarious internal and external teams to ensure high performance and availabilityof database systems.

    The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of the ServiceNow platform following vendor best practices.

    Responsibilities*:

    + Complete hands-on development within the ServiceNow platform including but not limited to client scripts, business rules, ui actions, ui policies, data policies, workflow, flow designer, integration hub spokes, script includes, catalog items, portal widgets, ui pages, event and alert rules.

    + Perform code review of peer development changes to ensure compliance with the Delta ServiceNow Development standards and vendor’s best practices.

    + Lead upgrade / patch skip remediation ensuring compliance with the Delta ServiceNow Development standards and vendor’s best practices.

    + Works with the Business / Product Team and development team to provide estimated level of effort

    + Take ownership of high level / complex business requirements and works them to completion.

    + Understand business user stories / requirements to provide the technical design and solution for product enhancements / new features.

    + Deliver product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes on time and error free

    + Collaborate with many teams and stakeholders locally and remotely to efficiently deliver high quality product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes.

    + Provide updated documentation of all product work including but not limited to, design documentation, technical operations / support documentation, and release notes.

    + Support existing and build new interfaces and have a good understanding of available integrations with 3rd party tools.

    + Ensure all work adheres to the processes, policies and best practices for development and the platform for Delta and ServiceNow.

    + Maintain updated knowledge of product capabilities to ensure we are best utilizing the platform with minimal customization.

    + Assist team members with support issues.

    + Participate in daily standups to report status, delays and risks to scrum master / team leads / management.

    + Work with members of the team, vendors, and other teams in support of application performance tuning and troubleshooting.

    + Ensure the system maintains compliance with Delta's policies and procedures, including HIPAA, SOX, PCI, and data retention processes.

    + Mentor other team members as needed and provide technical guidance to the process and management teams.

    + Practice safety conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures.

    *May perform other duties as assigned.
