Verdantas is seeking a **Power Utility Staff Engineer I** . This position will be located in **Grand Rapids or Petoskey, Michigan** .
Responsibilities:
+ Field mapping of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution facilities
+ Computer modeling and analysis of electrical transmission and distribution facilities
+ Interpreting one-line, three-line, DC schematics, and wiring prints
+ Preparation of power utility construction drawings utilizing AutoCAD
+ Assistance with the preparation of the construction bill-of-materials and specifications
+ Distribution system load flow, coordination, & arc-flash studies
+ Developing transmission, substation, and distribution relay settings and functional test sheets
+ Municipal electric utility engineering support
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited University
+ 1-2 years of experience in any or all
+ Three-phase power systems
+ Signals and controls
+ Other electrical or utility fields
+ AutoCAD experience
+ REVIT and/or Plant 3D experience is a plus
+ Experience with Milsoft WindMil E&A or other electrical system modeling software is a plus
+ EIT tracked preferred
