    Overview

     

    Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment is in their assigned area is kept in top running condition.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Responsible for providing maintenance services through the refinery.

    + Performs mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.

    + Perform routine and preventative maintenance services, including; troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.

    + Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.

    + Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.

    + Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.

    Qualifications

    + Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis

    + Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.

    + Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.

    + Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

     

    Education and/or Experience

     

    + At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization

     

    Hourly Rate $39.49 per hour.

     

    + The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
