Description
An innovative, medical technology firm seeks an Accounting Manager with a non-profit background. This hybrid, accounting role will consist of leading the accounting department and overseeing its daily operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and improving financial processes. In this role you will ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, generate financial reporting packages, oversee financial budgeting, manage the annual external audit process, coordinate with internal departments on implementation and maintenance of financial systems, review regulatory requirements, and ensure the security of all financial assets. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the ability to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.
What you get to work on daily
• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting
• Support financial planning and analysis
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, 3+ in a management role
• Non-Profit experience
• MUST have payroll processing experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
