    Description

    A client of Robert Half is seeking a seasoned Senior Human Resources Generalist to support their operations in Rolling Meadows, IL. This dynamic role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being embedded in the day-to-day operations of a facility, partnering closely with leadership, and playing a key role in cultivating a strong workplace culture. Bilingual Spanish/English a MUST. Salary range: $85k - $95k. Full benefits: Medical, Dental Vision and 401k + match.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with site leadership to support recruiting efforts and help drive a smooth, engaging onboarding experience for new hires.

    + Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations and work proactively to maintain strong partnerships across all levels of the organization.

    + Champion employee engagement initiatives by participating in committees and organizing events that promote morale and community connection.

    + Assist in developing and rolling out internal trainings, including sessions focused on HR compliance and ISO standards.

    + Support benefit programs, wellness initiatives, and HRIS updates, ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of employee data.

    + Manage leave-of-absence processes, including medical and personal leaves, ensuring compliance and employee support.

    + Stay current on HR best practices and employment regulations by participating in ongoing education and networking.

    + Play a key role in safety programs, including handling Workers’ Compensation case management and supporting the site’s safety initiatives.

    + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and assist with audits or regulatory inquiries as needed.

    + Handle sensitive HR documentation and represent the organization in matters related to unemployment claims, OSHA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, and more.

    Requirements

    + At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a Senior HR Generalist or similar HR leadership role

    + A strong background in employee relations, with the ability to navigate and resolve workplace concerns effectively

    + Proven success supporting full-cycle recruitment—from sourcing and interviewing to selection and offer management

    + Solid understanding of leave administration policies and workers’ compensation processes

    + Familiarity with modern performance management practices and employee development strategies

    + Demonstrated success in creating and executing impactful onboarding programs

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization

    + Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee matters

    + Strong multitasking and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
