    Billing & Collections Specialist – Construction Industry Experience Required

     

    Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist with a solid background in the construction industry. As the Billing & Collections Specialist, you will work closely with Project Managers to ensure progress billings and final invoices are issued and collected on a timely basis for each project.

    As the Billing & Collections Specialist, you will:

    + Construction Billing Expertise: Handle all aspects of project-specific billing, including preparation, submission, and follow-up of invoices for construction projects including progress and final billings.

    + Project Costing: Understand job costing and construction-related accounting processes, ensuring invoices align with project budgets and timelines.

    + Collections: Manage collections processes, ensure timely payment follow-ups, and maintain strong relationships with clients.

    + Documentation: Maintain accurate records of invoicing, collections, and payment tracking, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

    + Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, accounting teams, and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure financial success.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Industry Experience: Previous experience in the construction or related time & billing industries is required.

    + Technical Skills: Proficient in construction billing software, job costing systems, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

    + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve billing or collections discrepancies.

    + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external clients.

    + Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex billing processes with precision.
