Description

We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounting department and contribute significantly to our financial operations and strategy. This is a start-up AI company.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury

• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Developing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards

• Utilizing NetSuite to streamline, automate and improve financial business processes

• Implementing and enforcing internal controls over accounting and financial procedures

• Coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process

• Managing compliance with SOX 404 requirements

• Providing guidance on financial reporting and operational matters

• Overseeing the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliation and monthly journal entries

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various financial reporting tasks

Requirements • Proven experience in Auditing is essential.

• Proficiency in NetSuite is a must.

• Applicant must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with General Ledger is required.

• Experience in Month End Close is a prerequisite.

• Ability to perform Financial Reporting is necessary.

• Experience in conducting Audit is important.

• CPA certification is a requirement.

• Experience in Monthly Journal Entries is desirable.

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is required.
