**Job Title** : Capacity Sales Manager
**Location** : Onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA (1332 Edgewood Rd SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404)
**Job Schedule** : Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
**Job Summary:** Managing and optimizing the capacity of resources within an organization. Capacity operations professionals play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's resources, such as infrastructure, equipment and personnel, are utilized efficiently to meet demand and maximize productivity. They assess resource availability, identify bottlenecks and develop capacity plans to ensure that the organization can meet current and future demand. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capacity plans with business objectives and optimize resource allocation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assign the 3rd party carrier capacity on all designated loads using CRST’s transportation management system (TMS) and other technology platforms such as load boards and digital freight matching
+ Proactively communicate with carriers on all loads set to ship, deliver, or in transit, and update TMS to ensure the customer service team is informed of the status of service expectations
+ Upon shipment delivery, ensure all accessorial charges and any additional carrier costs are documented and updated in TMS to avoid causing delays in accounting processes
+ Support Capacity Representative peers in assigning carrier capacity on loads outside of your region when they may be out of the office or when additional support is needed in varying circumstances
+ Stay informed on market trends and carrier costs through regular review of industry reports, publications, and websites
+ Develop and manage carrier relationships with a wide range of carrier stakeholders, from drivers and dispatchers to owners
+ Collaborate with customer service to ensure that you are aligned with the needs of the customer and all shipping/receiving locations, and assign appropriate capacity to meet needs
**Job Requirements** :
+ High School diploma or GED is required
+ Openness to learn without requiring transportation experience

**Compensation** : Base Salary + Commission & Bonus Incentives
