Purpose of Position: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to assigned patients newborn to geriatric according to the policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing and in compliance with Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.

Independent Action: Functions independently within established department policies and goals. Refers problems to nurse manager or appropriate supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct and/or assist with the activity of licensed practical nurses and ancillary nursing personnel.

Less than one (1) year of nursing experience. Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, Successfully passed NCLEX nursing exam, and hold a current Massachusetts License in nursing.

Able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, 24 hours with assigned preceptor and 4-8 hours of support each week and attend weekly meetings (weeks 2-12) and at least one scheduled learning session each month for months (4-12). Three (3) year commitment to Signature Healthcare
