    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Shipping & Stockroom Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shipping, receiving and stockroom department. The position will ensure that goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, accurately, and safely. In addition, the position will be tasked with inventory management, record-keeping, and the consistent enforcement of company policies and procedures. The position will also guide and support the team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and exceptional service.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coordinate and oversee the activities of the shipping, receiving and stockroom departments, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

     

    Manage, organize, and maintain the stock inventories, making sure that accurate records are kept for tracking and auditing purposes.

     

    Conduct routine audits and physical inventory counts to maintain system accuracy and integrity.

     

    Lead the team in packing and preparing items for shipment, verifying documentation, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring that all outgoing shipments meet customer requirements.

     

    Oversee the management of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export documentation, and customs compliance.

     

    Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials and products through the company pipeline.

     

    Motivate staff, providing document training, performance feedback, and support to enhance productivity and professional growth.

     

    Develop and implement process improvements aimed at maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall department performance.

     

    Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups, and act as a point of contact for inquiries related to shipments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High school diploma required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred.

     

    3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control within an aerospace or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.

     

    Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and other export compliance requirements.

     

    Proficiency with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and adapt to new software.

     

    Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

     

    Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physically demanding tasks as required, and operate warehouse equipment.

     

    Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
