Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, and improving accounting processes. This role will collaborate with the AP/AR teams and may serve as a mentor or lead for AP staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Job Duties:

+ Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconciliations

+ Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

+ Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce relevant reports

+ Support the Controller during audits and budget cycles

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies

+ Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices

+ Partner with AP/AR teams and provide guidance to improve workflow and accuracy

+ Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

+ Five plus years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment required

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting required

+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required

+ Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively required

+ Experience leading or mentoring AP teams preferred

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills required

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required

+ Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required

+ Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required

+ Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required

+ Alignment with company core values required

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience in manufacturing or project-based accounting preferred

+ Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software preferred
