• Commercial Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator

    Description

    The Commercial Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator will perform mechanical and/or plumbing system take-off. Compile all costs prior to bid date. Obtain sub-contractor and vendor quotes to develop a competitive bid. Studying detailed plans and specifications.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Analyze project documents to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services

    + Conceptual HVAC/Sheet Metal/Piping/Plumbing budgeting and preliminary design

    + Perform HVAC/Sheet Metal/Piping/Plumbing take-offs (multi disciple preferred, but please apply if specialized)

    + Develop project budgets

    + Prepare proposals and estimates for large commercial/institutional/industrial HVAC/Piping/Plumbing specific projects

    + Study and interpret contract documents, specifications. plans or sketches

    + Assist Project Management with change order preparation

    Qualifications

    Education

    Preferred

    + Bachelors or better in Construction Engineering

    + Bachelors or better in Engineering
