    Job Description:

    The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences, Division of Radiology in the College of Dentistry, is recruiting for a Federal Work Study Student Assistant. This position will assist the Clinic supervisor and Radiology technicians in the Oral Radiology Clinic.

    The principal duties and responsibilities assigned to this position are:

    + Answering phones calls

    + Making and confirming appointments

    + Assisting in inputting charges and closing out radiology requests

    + Obtaining insurance claims for patients

    + Verifying patient’s insurance and authorizations for CT scans

    + Cleaning and stocking operatories

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Expected Salary:

    $13.00 per hour

    Minimum Requirements:

    Must have Federal Work Study Award.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral.

    + Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    + Exercise discretion in handling confidential and privileged information.

    + Excellent organizational, time management and follow-through skills.

    + High-level attention to detail, accuracy is essential.

    + Ability to handle a large volume of detailed information.

    + Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and be able to multi-task.

    + Professional demeanor and dress.

    + Reliability is critical and eager to learn.
