Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational leader to oversee operations and employees in our PMO Chesapeake Production Department, leading a team of approximately 40 employees and driving production assignments to ensure timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of custom cable and metalwork fabrication and assembly, preferably with a focus on communications systems, and possess strong leadership and project management skills. Our department supports the production of various systems, including C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS), and Audio/Video and Video Teleconferencing (AV/VTC) systems, and we require a leader who can effectively manage production workflows, prioritize tasks, and adjust to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment with demanding customers.
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management
+ Minimum 6 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment with demanding customers and tight deadlines
+ Strong knowledge of Project Management Professional (PMP) principles and methodologies
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, prioritize tasks, and adjust to changing circumstances
+ Experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles, with a focus on process improvement and waste reduction
+ Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ In-depth cable fabrication and communications system assembly experience
+ Knowledge of LEAN process optimizations and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management
+ Manufacturing and production database management experience
+ Change Management experience
+ PMP certification
+ Experience with Waterfall project management methodologies
+ Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics
+ Experience with process improvement and implementation of new technologies
+ Familiarity with the design, development, and integration of C5ISR, ESS, and AV/VTC systems, including:
+ C5ISR: command and control systems, communications networks, and cyber security solutions
+ ESS: access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems
+ AV/VTC: design, installation, and maintenance of audio and video systems, including video conferencing and collaboration solutions
+ Experience working with military or government contracts
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
