SUMMARY
The Senior Vice President of the Custodial Services Division plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, mission impact, client satisfaction, fiscal stewardship and growth across our diverse range of clients across many locations, including State, Federal, and commercial properties. This position will lead employees in delivering best-in-class customer service solutions through state-of-the-art cleaning practices, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) while continuously improving operational efficiency.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining balance, as the SVP will also provide leadership and strategic direction needed to support an inclusive, mission focused environment for our team members while promoting exceptional custodial services for our customers. Additionally, the SVP will develop and implement change management strategies that enhance operational efficiency and guide the division through transitions, process improvements, and organizational changes. Using collaboration skills, this role will work with various support functions such as Business Development, Human Services, and Human Resources to provide meaningful employment opportunities and vocational rehabilitation within the Custodial Services line of business.

+ Champion a culture of continuous learning and development while providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for employees.
+ Build, develop and lead high-performing teams.
+ Employ state of the art cleaning practices, while adhering to the highest quality standards and achievement of performance metrics that exceed customers’ expectations.
+ Manage forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and financial performance of the division. Implement cost-effective measures while maximizing profitability.
+ Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks associated with operational decisions utilizing risk management strategies to ensure mission outcomes.
+ Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
+ Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing strong creativity, problem-solving, and industry best practices.
+ Leverage a human-centered approach ensuring that decisions enhance operational efficiency while prioritizing the well-being and impact on employees and customers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ This job has direct supervisory responsibilities, with an overall scope of several locations in Lansing, Flint, and Grand Rapids Michigan. This role is responsible for developing a unified division that reflects Peckham’s culture and values and fosters an environment of inclusion and belonging.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
+ Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior leadership role in a custodial or facilities management environment, or in a complex organization with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities; must be able to demonstrate a track record of driving collaborative operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
+ Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of contract management.
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving organizational goals.
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Master’s degree preferred.
+ Human service experience working with persons with disabilities.
+ Experience working with government contracting in custodial services.
+ Certification in industry standards such as Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), and Green Certification.
TRAVEL
+ This role provides direct leadership to several locations. The SVP must be able to travel to different locations to support staff, team members and to meet with customers, as needed.
+ Other travel may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally preformed within an office or professional setting, including, but not limited to, banks, schools, and military installations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, cleaning products, and varying temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
