Job Summary
The Senior Program Manager (SPM) will coordinate math literacy sequence, programming and evaluate and build upon our current remote efforts. Meeting these responsibilities involves developing and sustaining relationships with schools, capitalizing upon University and community partnerships. The SPM is a member of WP's Executive Team and reports directly to the Associate Director. As Senior Program Manager your responsibilities will include the following:
Overarching Administrative Responsibilities (50%)
+ Administer academic programming and inform success coaching for grades 7 - 12
+ Liaison with student organizations to establish a volunteer corps of tutors to support students in need.
+ Coordinate a selection of annual activities: recruitment, orientation, graduation, and field trips
+ Provide fiscal oversight for and daily management of all assigned areas
Math Literacy Programming (30%)
+ Administer WP's current scope and sequence for its 7-9th remote Saturday math programming and work with campus partners to implement a 2 week summer math program for rising 8th and 9th grade scholars
+ Develop WP's rising 12th-grade in-person math program
+ Recruit and support WP math instructors and work with them and faculty partners to provide math instruction consistent with WP's math literacy goals and college access and transition commitments
Outreach & Program Relationships (10%)
+ Capitalize upon school, community, corporate and campus partners (U-M colleges, departments and units, and also individual faculty) requisite for administering assigned program areas.
Data, Evaluation, & Continuous Improvement (10%)
+ Collect data and conduct formative and summative assessments to support continuous improvement.
+ Codify findings to support WP fundraising and donor engagement.

Required Qualifications*
+ 4+ years experience in mathematics, math literacy, and math education, acquired through experience, education, or a combination of both
+ Experience serving underrepresented communities, and working with or advocating for adolescents.
+ Knowledge and familiarity 7th -12th grade mathematics
+ Experience overseeing programs and/or projects involving many people and multiple moving parts.
+ Experience promoting mathematical thinking, open-ended problem-solving, or mathematical identities, either via instruction and teaching, or theoretical training
+ Experience with small-scale event coordination
Modes of Work
This is a hybrid position, with on-site work in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During the fall and winter candidates are expected to work on several Saturdays and also support some weekday evening programming. In July, in-person work is required Monday through Friday.
