Pay Rate:

What you'll be doing as a Die Tooling Specialist:
+ Repairs, rebuilds, and/or re-rubbers all cutting dies and stripping fixtures used in die cutting operations.
+ Cleans, inspects, repairs and mounts all print plates needed for printing operations.
+ Delivers to and picks up from the appropriate work center or storage location, all printing plates, cutting die boards-both flat and rotary, stripping fixtures, mylars and samples.
+ Assures an accurate status and scan location for all tooling needed.
+ Ability to recognize problems or concerns regarding inaccurate information on job tickets and spec cards. Notifies and follows up with proper personnel regarding all tooling concerns and inquires.
+ Operates ink blending system when additional ink is needed.
+ Ability to distinguish color.
+ Responds to the supervisors and machine operators immediately when additional supplies or support is needed in production.
+ Regular and reliable attendance.
+ Understands and navigates in the Amtech & KIWI systems regarding tooling.
+ Receive in cutting die and print plate tooling following check in process.
+ Monitors emails
+ Maintains a valid driver's license and insurance coverage.
+ Drive and back up the Die Transport Truck & operate the Tommy Lift.
+ Certification for operating the forklift, cutting die picker, and mule.
+ Provides back up and assistance to the Print / Ink Specialist and other Die Tooling Specialist when needed.
+ Promotes GNC's teamwork concept.
+ Performs color matching.
+ Adjusts inks for proper printing on press.
+ Use spectrophotometer and other computer software
+ Notifies the department supervisor immediately of any incidences or reoccurring problems pertaining to completing tasks in a timely manner.
+ Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleanup and preventative maintenance procedures, notifying supervisor or maintenance of any mechanical problems.
+ Knows, understands and follows all plant safety rules, general rules and procedures.

Job requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalency
+ One to two years of manufacturing / printing / die cutting experience preferred
+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and percentages
+ Ability to use computer for on-the-floor reporting
+ Ability to follow verbal, written or diagrammatic instructions
+ Ability to solve problems and make adjustments regarding equipment, processes, procedures and product conformity to meet specifications and quality standards
+ Ability to identify and distinguish color
+ Ability to effectively meet deadlines
+ Lifting tubes and/or blankets occasionally 15-40# and carrying it 30'
+ Occasionally lift and carry of 60 lbs (5-gallon pail of ink) up to 30 ft
+ Occasional lift of 60# pail of ink from the floor and place on a shelf at 46"
+ Lifting and carrying cutting dies and other tooling frequently, up to 40# alone, greater than 40#, requires two people.
+ Stair climbing up and down to mezzanine.
+ Push/pull occasionally, up to 800#, when moving tooling racks and ink barrels on dollies.
+ Frequent standing, walking, bending and trunk rotation.
+ Occasional squatting, kneeling and crouching.
+ Frequent reaching forward and overhead.
+ 1Grip and hand coordination.
