Job Description Summary

Responsible for performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in equipment used in the filling, packaging and/or tube assembly processes. Coordinates maintenance and repair of vialing/packaging equipment. Works on assignments that are both semi-routine and moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instructions on routine assignments, general instructions on new assignments. Perform troubleshooting, repair and programming of Automation machinery and execute automation improvement projects.

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing complex tasks in all areas of production/automation processes including equipment setup and operation; process change overs; troubleshooting and corrective action; equipment maintenance and cleaning; and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for daily activities related to production/automation such as equipment set-up and operation; process changeovers; equipment maintenance and cleaning; and training of new employees on equipment operations.

2. Performs periodic checks of quality control and assurance procedures and reports any deviations or abnormalities.

3. Adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory requirements.

4. Performs periodic inspections of raw materials and finished products.

5. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on production/automation equipment and performs required safety checks.

6. Maintains accurate records of production levels, waste, downtime, productivity and quality.

7. Conducts visual inspection of parts for defects.

8. Communicates regularly with team members and management regarding concerns, discrepancies and continuous improvement efforts.

9. Interacts frequently with Quality Control personnel to resolve issues related to nonconformances and product quality.

10.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum Years of Experience: Three years of relevant experience

+ Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Basic computer skills; Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
