The Computer Science Department at Emory University invites applications for faculty positions to begin Spring/Fall 2025. Ongoing/renewable appointments will be in the _Teaching Track_ as Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor. Emory CS a leader in collaborative interdisciplinary endeavors while advancing knowledge in fundamental and applied domains. The department maintains a strong core curriculum in Computer Science and solicits applications in all areas, including Systems, Theory, Data, and Intelligent Systems, broadly defined. The campus is an integral part of the energetic Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area, offering a variety of cultural, social, and recreational opportunities, a mild climate, and unmatched accessibility.
Applicants for Teaching Track positions should have a PhD (or an MS with substantial industry experience) in Computer Science or a related discipline. Responsibilities include: (1) classroom course teaching; (2) student advising and mentoring; (3) curriculum enhancement; and (4) supporting Emory’s educational mission through service. Research is not a required element in the Teaching Track, but all forms of scholarship are strongly encouraged and supported.
Applications consisting of a cover letter, CV, statement of teaching philosophy and career goals, evidence of teaching excellence, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation should be submitted via Interfolio. Full consideration will be given to applications received up to at least 30 days after review begins, until the position is filled.
