Description:

Executive Assistant Position is to provide complex administrative assistance to support the Assistant Provost of Student Success and Academic Support and Director of the Center for Academic Excellence ( CAE ). The position involves executive management to include screening calls, managing calendars, making travel, meeting and event arrangements, preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising other support staff, and customer relations. The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Provost for Student Success and Academic Support.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

CAE is a unit providing academic support services to help students excel academically and cultivate life skills critical to timely graduation and global citizenship. To accomplish its mission, CAE offers a wide-range of services and programs that promote student success, such as centralized academic advising, supplemental instruction, peer mentoring, tutoring, etc. The unit collaborates with various academic units to reinforce academic expectations and address factors that affect student success and graduation.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation with an associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience..All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
