Essential Job Duties:
The Air Quality Emissions Analyst Assistant will assist our staff with evaluating grant applications for projects that will reduce transportation-related emissions. The first part of the task will be data entry combined with identifying any gaps in provided data. After that the assistant will use Excel based tools to estimate emissions benefits from the projects and calculate cost-benefit analyses for each project. They will be trained on how to use the specific Excel-based tool ( AFLEET ). Experience working with excel and experience with working with spreadsheets and doing quantitative analysis is very crucial for this position. The assistant will also write brief summaries of their findings as well as describing the methodology, data sources, and assumptions used in calculations.

Required Qualifications:
+ Strong Excel skills
+ Strong quantitative skills
+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
+ Ability to succinctly write descriptions of findings and methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Basic knowledge of transportation-related pollution emissions
+ Familiarity with Argonne National Laboratory’s AFLEET tool
