• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The role involves overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and managing a team of accountants or specialists. You will also collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and improve processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks such as general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll accounting.

    • Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

    • Lead the close processes at the end of each month and year.

    • Ensure all accounting practices are in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

    • Manage, guide, and mentor a team of accountants or specialists.

    • Collaborate with departments like Operations, HR, and Development to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.

    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis tasks.

    • Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and controls. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the accounting field

    • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

    • Working knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

    • Experienced in using BlackLine

    • Ability to navigate Concur effectively

    • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

    • Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions

    • Experienced in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Proficient in auditing procedures

    • Experience with billing functions

    • Proficiency in Dynamics CRM

    • Familiarity with Dynamics SL

    • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is a plus
