Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. This role involves managing financial transactions and records, ensuring accuracy in billing, reconciliation, and collections.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer billing and invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate processing of statements.

• Perform account reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.

• Apply payments to customer accounts, ensuring proper allocation and record-keeping.

• Manage cash collections and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, and Workday to maintain financial records.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and initiate appropriate collection actions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address account-related inquiries and issues.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of transactions and customer communications.

• Review and verify the accuracy of data entered into financial systems.

• Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and collection efforts.

Requirements

• Proficient in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.

• Strong knowledge and experience in managing accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Skilled in preparing and issuing billing statements to clients and vendors.

• Expertise in cash applications, including posting and allocating payments accurately.

• Capable of handling cash collections to ensure timely payments and minimize delinquencies.

• Experience in commercial collections, resolving outstanding receivables from business clients.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Knowledge of Workday for financial and operational processes.
