Overview

Mechanic - Light Duty - Colorado Springs

Wage: $20-$30

Qualifications:

+ 1-3 years experience on light duty vehicles, tow behind light plants and generators, small engines

+ Ability to prioritize, manage time, work independently with little supervision.

+ Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and leadership.

+ Self-motivated, detailed oriented, resourceful and reliable

+ Proficient with computers, tablets and their operating systems

+ CDL Class A or B, or ability to obtain one upon hire with medical card

+ Must have own tooling to complete repairs , minimum tooling list will be provided

+ Clean driving record and background

+ Pass pre and post-employment drug test

+ Travel may be required for short periods of time

Responsibilities:

+ Accurately diagnose, inspect, and repair equipment as directed

+ Remove, repair, and install minor and major components with service truck crane using proper rigging and techniques

+ Read and comprehend troubleshooting steps, electrical and hydraulic schematics

+ Follow directions

+ Look up parts

+ Check Microsoft Teams and email regularly, these are the primary forms of communication

+ Maintain service truck, crane and compressor

+ Good record keeping

+ Other assigned duties

+ Ongoing safety training

+ Take advice and guidance from leadership and other mechanics

+ Communicate status of repairs and timelines to field supervisors

Physical requirement:

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time

+ Work i n awkward and uncomfortable positions

+ Stand, reach and bend for long periods of time
