Description
Are you an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper with expertise in government contracts? Robert Half is seeking a highly organized finance professional to join a growing organization in San Diego, CA. This role is perfect for someone who excels in managing complex bookkeeping tasks while ensuring compliance with government regulations and contract-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Bookkeeping: Handle all general bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations.
+ Government Contract Compliance: Ensure accurate tracking of costs, revenue, and overhead related to government contracts while adhering to applicable regulations (e.g., FAR, CAS).
+ Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports for management and government agencies.
+ Audits: Assist with annual audits and government contract audits, including pulling records and supporting documentation.
+ Budgeting & Forecasting: Maintain detailed budgets and forecasts for government contracts and assist with project-level financial planning.
+ System Management: Maintain accounting systems and ensure accurate allocation of costs for contracts and projects.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred). Equivalent experience may be considered.
+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with specific experience managing government contracts or working in industries adhering to FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) or CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
+ Technical Expertise: Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Deltek CostPoint, or other government contract-focused platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
+ Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of FAR, CAS, and other government contracting compliance standards.
+ Detail-Oriented: Excellent organizational skills and a sharp ability to manage both financial data and compliance details.
+ Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
