Job Summary:

The SAP BODS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). The role requires extensive experience with Guidewire Datahub and Info enter to ensure efficient data processing and management.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Data Integration and ETL Processes** : Design and develop ETL processes using SAP BODS to extract, transform, and load data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Optimize job design to improve performance and efficiency

+ **Performance Tuning** : Utilize SAP BODS features for performance tuning, including job design optimization, parallel execution paths, and early data filtering. Optimize SQL queries and manage memory usage to reduce processing time

+ **Guidewire Datahub & Infocenter** : Implement and manage Guidewire Datahub and Infocenter solutions. Ensure data is organized in data marts, cubes, and analytic apps to meet business intelligence and analysis needs

+ **Collaboration and Communication** : Work closely with various departments, including IT, business analysts, and data scientists, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

+ **Documentation and Reporting** : Maintain detailed documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and performance tuning activities. Provide regular reports on data integration performance and issues

Required Skills and Experience:

+ **SAP BODS Expertise** : Advanced knowledge of SAP BODS, including creating ad-hoc jobs, central repositories, and performance tuning

+ **Guidewire Datahub & Infocenter** : Proven experience with Guidewire Datahub and Infocenter, including implementation and management

+ **SQL and Database Optimization** : Strong skills in SQL and database optimization techniques, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization

+ **Data Management** : Experience in data management, including data cleansing, profiling, and transformation

+ **Analytical Skills** : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data integration issues

+ **Communication Skills** : Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

+ **Insurance Domain Experience** : Experience in the insurance domain is highly desirable

+ **Technical Leadership** : Ability to lead technical discussions and provide guidance to junior developers

+ **Certifications** : Relevant certifications in SAP BODS and data management tools are a plus

The annual salary for this position is between $[135,000 – 140,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
