Electrical Estimator

Actalent is hiring an Electrical Estimator with Industrial experience to join a growing local contractor!

Description

Prepare and maintain bid folders and viewpoint record logs for estimates assigned.

Analyze and evaluate project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a complete bid proposal.

Develop skills to identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness with plans & specs and maintains a positive relationship with vendors.

Summarize take-offs into definable work flow breakdown units as determined by the lead estimator or project manager.

Prepare new construction and remodel electrical take-offs using Accubid Enterprise and Live Count estimating software systems.

Provide accurate measurements and quantities from blue prints and on screen take off methods.

May perform job walks to ensure that any field conditions have been observed that may affect the construction, may impact the prospective bid, and/or may impact the pre-construction designs and the build services.

Assist to prepare detailed proposals as required by our customers.

Attend estimating/sales meetings, and supporting project kick off and close out meetings to discuss bid status, and present/resolve issues.

Experience working for an Electrical Contractor

Industrial project experience highly preferred

Familiar with Accubid and/or Viewpoint highly preferred

Electrical field experience a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
