    The Finance Data and Experiences organization (FD&E) builds scaled solutions that enable Microsoft to run its end-to-end business more effectively and efficiently. FD&E operates within the business and has delivery partnerships across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering.     As a Software Engineer II, you will have an opportunity to lead and work with the latest cloud technologies to build industry-leading business management solutions for your customers. In this role, you will work with Azure, Synapse, and other cloud-native platforms to help architect and develop a suite of future-state analytics capabilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Assess, recommend, and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, and processes from Microsoft and industry.

    + Support and influence the team culturecustomer-centricity and continuous improvement.

    + Implement practices that ensure accurate, safe, and efficient releases for our services.

    + Implement and maintain outstanding design and development processes.

    + Collaborate with others to solve complex problems by keeping pace with our global business.

    + Leverage sound engineering practices and principles.

    + Flight code changes, use telemetry and analytics to take a understand customer impact.

    + Provide technical feedback to our product engineering partners to evolve and mature our Azure services and Power Platform.

    + Work with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 1+ years of experience in data modeling, ETL development, and Business Intelligence & Data warehousing, or similar skills.

    Additional or Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 5+ years of software development experience with big data processing systems or online services.

    + 5+ years of experience with any of the following: Python, C++, DAX, C#, Excel, DAX, Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, SQL.

    + Experience building cloud services on Azure; Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.

    + Passion for building highly scalable and reliable cloud services and data.

    + Ability to communicate technical details clearly across teams, as well as ramp up quickly on new technologies.

    + Analytical skills with a systematic and structured approach to software design.

    + Familiarity with Finance data and business rhythms a plus.

     

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
