10% shift differential

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM

We are looking for candidates to join our Saw Department. Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive training program with opportunities to advance, develop skills and experience in machining. This is hot, heavy, dirty work that will challenge you - but will also reward you with great pay, benefits, and stability.

Responsibilities

+ Saw Operator will set up and operate saws to cut metal materials to the required length and shape

+ Install saw blades, set stop gauges for the length of the cut, operate material feed, and set saw speeds for the type of materials

+ Set up and operate metal cutting saws to cut bar stock to specified measurements

+ Receive, store and route bar stock in the proper lengths, dimensions, and material types

+ Operate overhead crane for loading and unloading material

+ Responsible for the correct identification of raw material

+ Mark ends of stock to maintain the proper identity

+ Maintain an orderly work area and stock of material on the shop floor and on storage racking

+ Utilizes material handling equipment as required

+ Follows all departmental work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies

+ Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable

+ Participates in employee training programs and communication meetings

+ Performs daily operator maintenance on saw equipment

+ Ensures the work area and equipment are properly maintained to provide a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

+ Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Proven experience as a saw operator or in a similar role.

+ Ability to efficiently operate different types of saws and cutting tools.

+ Ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints or work orders.

+ Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating cuts.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality control.

+ Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
