Job Summary

Provides cybersecurity engineering; technical and analytical cybersecurity research, and metrics; DoD cybersecurity compliance and verification program assistance, and provides continuous monitoring support.

Telework is supported at 25%. Travel is not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Applies system engineering principles to the solution of secure information systems design problems. Applies the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Performs a variety of engineering tasks that are broad in nature and are concerned with system design and implementation. Plans and performs engineering research, design, development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications. Makes recommendations and advises on system design, development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Evaluates overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability, security, and safety. Performs problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements. Defines and interprets high level organizational engineering performance requirements and objectives and develops approaches to their achievement. Performs abstract or concept studies and analysis, requirements definition, preliminary planning, the evaluation of alternative technical approaches, and provides associated costs for the development or enhancement of high-level general performance specifications of a system, project, mission, or activity. Supports customers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategy, doctrine, standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least two (2) years of related experience applying fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures supporting system engineering principles. Must have knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, Cybersecurity policies, engineering analysis processes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or a high school diploma and two (2) additional years of related experience.
