Job Summary: Responsible for the efficient flow of scheduling patient services throughout the hospital with accuracy according to modality specifications. Assures that every patient has a physician order for each exam. In addition to scheduling, the representative is r esponsible for the efficient registration of patients, ensuring that accurate information is collected. This includes insurance verifications and identifying coinsurance for payment at time of booking and providing this information to the patient.

Reports to: Team Leader, Central Scheduling

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of scheduling programs and PC, telephone, and database systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and third party insurance. Strong typing skills. Ability to understand both written and verbal detailed instructions. Minimum three (3) years related experience is required.
