Job Title: Jr Workstation Engineer
Position Type: Full Time
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Workstation Engineer will design, build, and maintain the workstation infrastructure for the enterprise
+ Packaging and deploying of commercial and internal software to workstations across the enterprise
+ Using industry standard tools (SCCM, MEMCM, Intune, Etc.) to patch and update workstations to eliminate vulnerabilities across the enterprise
+ Strong experience with MECM administration, application packaging, troubleshooting
+ Maintain compliance of workstation fleet by using Industry standard tools, (SCCM, MEMCM, Intune Etc.)
+ Will work on monthly patching of entire workstation fleet for OS (Windows\MacOS) and 3rd party apps
+ The IT Workstation Engineer will create and maintain standard desktop configurations (Windows and MacOS) and helping to roll out zero-touch provisioning
+ Implement, administer, maintain Microsoft SCCM\MEMCM, and associated system
+ Assist in architecting and driving the long-term strategy for desktop hardware and software
+ Assists Application Packaging team with strategy of software deployments and assists with the troubleshooting of failed deployments
+ Remediate Security Vulnerabilities on endpoints as requested by Security team
+ Create strategy, design, and implement changes in group policy and compliance baselines to ensure endpoint computing standards are enforced
+ Develop roadmaps, documentation, and takes ownership for various end user computing solutions (hardware, operating systems, SCCM, etc…)
+ Represents Endpoint Technologies in the Change Advisory Board
+ Ensures solutions are appropriately tested and documented prior to deployment
+ Designs and executes Windows Servicing and Office Servicing Strategy.
+ Provide mentorship to other members of the team, and other teams across the organization
Qualifications and Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
+ 1-3 years of IT experience
+ Proven work experience as a technical support engineer
+ Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 i.e Outlook/Office 365 apps
+ Advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system troubleshooting
+ Strong practical windows systems administration skills
+ In depth knowledge of login scripts, scheduled tasks, group policies, etc.
+ In depth knowledge of Group Policy and how GPOs apply
+ Knowledge of Citrix and VDI technologies
+ Knowledge of WinPE, PXE, WAIK, MDOP, ADMT and other tools from Microsoft
+ Understanding of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, etc.
+ Strong scripting experience with PowerShell and VBS
+ Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
