    Responsibilities

    The Mayo Clinic in Rochester is searching for a highly motivated, academic neuro-oncologist to join our practice in Rochester, Minnesota. The CNS Brain Tumor clinic is a high-volume practice, consisting of multiple disciplines that include Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, Neuropathology, and a robust research program. Primary appointment will be in the Department of Neurology (Division of Neuro-Oncology) with a joint appointment in Medical Oncology. Mayo Clinic is a Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center by NCI including participation in NCI cooperative group studies. Ample opportunities for clinical and translational research are available through highly collaborative basic and translational science departments, and this will be enhanced further with the planned acquisition of both proton beam and heavy particle beam facilities in the next several years.

     

    The successful applicant will contribute to the clinical care of brain tumor and cancer neurology patients, to the teaching of students, residents, and fellows, and to the development of clinical trials in neuro-oncology, including studies based on translational research within the Mayo Clinic enterprise.

    Qualifications

    ABPN Board certified or board eligible in Neurology and qualified for a Minnesota Medical license. UCNS board eligibility in Neuro-Oncology is strongly encouraged.

    Compensation Detail

     

    The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from Research: $202,000 to $663,037. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
