Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented summer IT Intern to assist with asset clean-up in AWS and to create an asset management solution for tracking our laptops and equipment. This role will involve identifying and removing unused AWS assets, developing a tracking system for company PCs, and coordinating the eCycling process for returned assets, eliminating current backlog, and assisting with laptop refreshes as well as PC replacements due to Windows 10 going out of support.
Responsibilities
AWS Asset Clean-up:
+ Track and review AWS assets to identify unused or redundant resources.
+ Communicate with contacts re the assets to be retired
+ Stop and remove expired or unnecessary assets.
Asset Management Solution:
+ Create a simple way to efficiently track outgoing and returned company PCs and equipment.
+ Decommission all returned PCs from all applicable systems including inTune, Manage Engine etc.. as well as track the decommissioned devices.
+ Coordinate eCycling pickups for all returned assets that cannot be reused.
+ Accelerate remaining 2024 PC refreshes.
+ Accelerate remaining Windows 10 refreshes.
Qualifications:
+ Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Basic understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, as well as ability to execute CLI commands.
+ Proficiency in creating databases or tracking systems.
+ Strong organizational and coordination skills.
+ Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
+ Available for a full-time (40/week) summer internship.

Locations: The preferred location for this role is our Durham, NC office. Additionally, we are on a hybrid schedule 3/week.
Compensation: The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
