    Job Overview:

    Operates and assesses monitoring of patients in the Cardiac Catherization Lab. Administer individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardiac catherization lab procedures.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + High School Diploma.

    + Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.

    Preferred:

    Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

    + Current RCIS certification or RAD license.

    + Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

    Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

    + 8:00 5:00

    Essential Functions:

    + Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures.

    + Assists MD with Cath/PCI, peripheral, structural heart (Mitraclip, Watchman), EP cases, and neuro.

    + Adheres to on call policy requirements.

    + Executes special assignment with the lab. Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control.

    + Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
