Description
A growing nonprofit organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to start in a temporary capacity with the potential to transition into a full-time position. The Event Coordinator will play a key role in executing the organization’s events, including both fundraising and community engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
+ Plan and coordinate all aspects of organizational events and fundraisers, including but not limited to: Annual Auction Gala Fundraiser, Client and staff gatherings, Additional fundraisers and community events
+ Collaborate with team members, vendors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event execution.
+ Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor contracts, budget tracking, and day-of-event oversight.
+ Write and distribute the organization’s monthly e-newsletter.
+ Collect client stories from staff for use in newsletters and promotional materials.
+ Assist with monthly mailings and donor correspondence, such as thank-you notes.
+ Build and maintain relationships with local businesses to request donations and sponsorships.
+ Conduct ongoing donor research to identify new opportunities for fundraising and outreach.
+ Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the donor management system.
+ Procure and organize item donations for events, including tracking and coordinating delivery/pickups.
+ Proactively engage with the community to build partnerships and advocate for the organization’s mission.
Requirements
Requirements:
+ Prior experience managing nonprofit events, including familiarity with auction planning and execution (preferred).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
+ Strong internet research skills for donor outreach and fundraising strategy development.
+ A knack for networking and building business relationships, including comfort asking for donations in support of a meaningful cause.
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
