Plumbing Apprentice’s Job Description

The Plumbing Apprentice’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting in properly and accurately estimating, installing, replacing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and/or testing the following:

+ Water piping systems

+ Gas piping systems

+ Sanitary sewer piping systems

+ Tub/shower/faucet internal mechanisms including cartridges, washers, springs, etc.

+ Faucets

+ Gas and water valves

+ Gas and water supply lines

+ Gas risers

+ Gas yard lines

+ Tub/shower valves

+ Tub/shower trim

+ Tub faucets

+ Sink drain assemblies including disposals

+ Tub basket strainers

+ Kitchen sinks

+ Hose bibbs

+ Toilets

+ Yard leaks/breaks

+ Sanitary sewer yard lines

+ Sanitary sewer and potable water slab leaks

+ Toilet flanges

+ Gas and electric tank water heaters

+ Gas and electric tankless water heaters

+ Hot water recirculation systems

+ PRV & valve boxes

Plumbing Apprentice Job Requirements

The Plumbing Apprentice should possess the following experience, skills, characteristics, abilities, and licensing:

+ Positive Attitude

+ Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

+ Mechanically inclined

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Strong verbal and written communication

+ Work well in team environment to accomplish organizational goals
