Our Senior Consultant of Talent Management plays a critical role in the learning and development of our associates. This position works with a team to develop and deliver learning, to enhance associate performance and engagement.
What you will do – Essential Responsibilities
Execute Talent Management specific responsibilities including, but not limited to:
+ Collaborate with CarMax leaders and internal customers to conduct needs analysis, define learning objectives, and recommend strategies to meet specific training needs.
+ Develop innovative, interactive training courses using Articulate 360 or similar e-learning development tools, in line with CarMax learning standards.
+ Design, maintain, and execute organized project plans that provide clear line of site into timelines and project status.
+ Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement of training and learning experiences.
+ Analyze learning metrics and user engagement to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
+ Communicate effectively with all team members, business partners, and internal customers.
+ Complete various day-to-day task-driven activities as directed to support the successful function of the Talent Management team.
+ Support deployment of learning solutions using the company’s learning management system (Workday Learning) and other third-party learning systems (Blue Ocean Brain, LinkedIn Learning, QuestionMark).
+ Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
+ Serve as a champion of continuous learning and development for the company.
Qualifications and Requirements
+ Strong understanding of instructional design principles and frameworks
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong organization and planning skills
+ Highly productive, demonstrating the ability to manage competing tasks and demands
+ Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
+ Ability to effectively prioritize and work productively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
+ Prior team project/collaborative experience a plus
Education and/or Experience:
+ Proven proficiency in developing e-learning instructional courseware is required
+ 3+ years’ experience with training design, development, and facilitation
+ Experience with creating AICC and SCORM compliant e-learning modules preferred
+ Experience with web-based development software (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
+ Experience with digital graphic arts
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, preferred
+ Experience with additional multimedia authoring tools a plus (e.g., audio recording and editing, video editing and processing, etc.)
+ Proficiency with Office 365 suite, including Teams and SharePoint sites
+ Workday HCM experience, preferred
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and will have a Hybrid work arrangement.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
