+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

+ The Echo Tech performs transthoracic echocardiography, stress test echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiography and other non-invasive cardio-diagnostic procedures including 12 lead ECG, holter hook up, event monitor hook up, stress testing and other duties as assigned.

+ QUALIFICATIONS

+ Professional/Educational

+ Associates Degree preferred in Cardiac Sonography from a CAAHEP. Accredited school.

+ Credentialed as a member of the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) granted by the registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) granted by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

+ Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Previous Echo Sonographer experience required.

+ DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

+ Personal

+ Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.

+ Desire and ability to cooperate with or under the direction of others.

+ Possess a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.

+ Ability to follow directions accurately.

+ Excellent Communication Skills.
