    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Medical Staff Services Coordinator transcribes a wide variety of dictation which requires knowledge of medical terminology. The Coordinator performs general secretarial duties including assisting Medical Staff/Allied Health Professional (AHP) Staff by providing necessary information and materials, preparation of correspondence, filing, mailings and maintaining current policies and procedures for position functions.

     

    + You will ensure the Medical Staff Office conducts all business in a secure manner, protecting the confidentiality of all Medical Staff members and proceedings.

    + You will maintain accurate, current updates in computer program for each medical staff and Allied Health Provider.

    + You will assist in implementing changes in standards and regulation, MS Bylaws, policies, and Rules and Regulations, as they apply to the daily operations of the Medical Staff.

    + You will assist in the day to day operations of the Medical Staff Services Department

    + You will coordinate, prepare, attend, transcribe the minutes and perform the follow-up for assigned Committees or Departments.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + High School Graduate or GED. AA or AS Degree preferred.

    + Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification required.

    + Minimum 2 years experience in a Medical Staff Department in an acute hospital required with responsibility for coordinating meetings, preparing minutes and necessary follow-up.

    + Credentialing experience required.

    + Must have Microsoft Office computer skills, experience with Credentialing systems and experience with data entry in other systems.

    + Thorough working knowledge of the Medical Staff organization as well as The Joint Commission Standards and Title XXII for Medical Staff.

It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
