    + Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the technical maintenance, work flow and currency of one or more MHMH Laboratory Sections, including: Blood Bank, Chemistry/Immuno Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Laboratory Information Systems/Send-Outs, Microbiology, Urinalysis/Drug Screening and Serology. In addition to Section Head duties, performs the duties of a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technologist, or Histotech throughout the Laboratory on a regular basis as assigned

    What’s Required:

    + Completion of two years of advanced technical training (MLT), including a six-month clinical internship, or completion of a bachelor's degree in medical technology (MT), ASCP certification as a Histologic Technician

    + A minimum of five years of experience in Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital's Laboratory, or another CLIA licensed laboratory.

    + Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), or certification by the American Society of Medical Technologists (ASMT), or other recognized national certification for medical laboratory personnel.

    + BCLS certification required.
