    Description and Requirements

     

    As the Business Development Manager, SMB Retail/eTail for Lenovo, you will be responsible for growing Lenovo’s commercial business within our National, Regional, and Local Retail and eTail partners.

     

    Working in parallel with multiple Lenovo teams, you will develop and execute a strategy to drive revenue and profit across Lenovo’s award-winning portfolio of products, solutions, and services.

     

    The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic selling, acquisition, and account management, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will demonstrate team building, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements concurrently. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial approach that is imaginative, smart, passionate, and approachable. A strong working knowledge of the retail ecosystem, distribution, and industry strategies is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Achieve revenue and profitability objectives for Lenovo by driving sales with key Retail partners.

    + Develop high level relationships (C-level) to serve as a trusted consultant to partners.

    + Identify and position the proper products to support Lenovo and partner objectives.

    + Ensure customers receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.

    + Develop complex sales strategy to ensure both long- and short-term goals, objectives, and quotas are met.

    + Align with Retail partners to understand market dynamics and how to deliver successful partnering outcomes.

    Basic Requirements:

    + BA/BS degree or equivalent professional work experience.

    + 5+ years of technology (PC, Workstation, Server, Storage, & Services) sales experience.

    Preferred Requirements

    + A strong understanding of the Small and Medium Business (<1,000 employees) market dynamics.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills required.

    + Superior presentation skills.

    + Solid financial acumen and financial management skills.

    + Previous sales experience working for or calling on reseller partners.

    + Strong interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrated team building, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements.

    + Demonstrated track record of top performance with multimillion dollar quarterly quota.

    + Proven ability to develop strategies and execute against an account plan to drive results.

    *This role covers multiple retail partners throughout the United States and will require travel.
