    Job Responsibilities

    + Program CNC mills using Camworks.

    + Must also be able to program and operate one or more of the following Specialty machines: CNC Grinder, CNC High Speed Mills or Wire EDM.

    + Must be capable and willing to train other machinists, showing them the proper way to use common shop Machine tools and inspection equipment

    + Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds

    + Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions to make parts.

    + Reading complex prints, designs, able to transfer in and out of CNC machines

    + Must be able to read G & M code.

    + Makes fixtures for machines

    + Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc.

    Job Requirements:

    + High School Diploma, or equivalent

    + 10+ years' experience in a machine shop is required

    + Experience with 3-axis milling is required

    + 5+ years CNC mill programming experience

    + Experience with CAMWorks and SolidWorks or equivalent CAM and CAD software is required

    + Experience with 5-axis milling is preferred

    + EDM experience preferred

    + Knowledge of precision measuring devices

    + Work to close tolerances

    + The ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches

    + Advanced shop mathematics skills

    + Broad knowledge of machine shop practices

    + Proven mechanical aptitude
