Job Title: FactSet Implementation Expert
About the Role:
We’re seeking a seasoned FactSet Implementation Expert to lead end‑to‑end deployments of FactSet’s software solutions. In this role, you’ll partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design tailored configurations, oversee data integration, and ensure a smooth go‑live—providing expert guidance every step of the way.
Implementation Leadership:
+ Own the full implementation lifecycle for assigned projects, from scoping and planning through delivery and post‑go‑live support.
+ Define project milestones, resource requirements, and success criteria; drive teams to meet or exceed timelines and quality standards.
PBOR/ABOR/IBOR Expertise:
+ Execute Performance Book of Record (PBOR) component implementations and migrations for both GIPS‑compliant and non‑GIPS portfolios.
+ Configure Account Book of Record (ABOR) and Investment Book of Record (IBOR) processes as needed.
Data Loading & Configuration:
+ Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation and reconciliation.
+ Configure FactSet applications (data models, attributes, calculations) to match client-defined business rules.
Solution Design & customization:
+ Translate business requirements into robust, scalable FactSet configurations.
+ Collaborate with Product Development to propose enhancements or custom modules.
Client Engagement and Training:
+ Serve as primary point of contact for implementation updates, issue resolution, and expectation management.
+ Develop and deliver training materials to empower end users on new functionality and workflows.
Technical Troubleshooting:
+ Diagnose and resolve technical challenges database queries, performance tuning, interface issues through root‑cause analysis.
Documentation & Process Improvement:
+ Maintain clear, comprehensive project documentation: scope statements, configuration guides, test plans, and runbooks.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize implementation methodologies for greater efficiency.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
+ Liaise with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to ensure seamless hand‑offs and continuous client satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualification Experience:
+ 8+ years in software implementation or project management—preferably within financial services or capital markets technology.
+ Proven track record deploying FactSet solutions and migrating PBOR, ABOR, and IBOR components.
Technical Proficiency:
+ Strong SQL/database skills and familiarity with ETL/data‑loading processes.
+ Working knowledge of operating systems, network configurations, and API/integration best practices.
Domain Knowledge:
+ Solid understanding of performance measurement concepts (GIPS standards), attribute modeling, and portfolio analysis.
+ Comfortable with financial instruments, equity markets, and key industry terminology.
Communication & Leadership:
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, able to bridge technical and non‑technical audiences.
+ Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred Qualification:
+ FactSet certification or equivalent technical accreditation.
+ Experience with additional portfolio management systems or data providers.
+ PMP, PMI‑ACP, or similar project management certification.
