    Harrington House seeks a Kitchen manager/Cook (Part-Time) for their residential campus. Harrington House is a group home designed to provide a safe and supportive living environment for youth who are transitioning to a less restrictive setting. While providing a structured, home-like environment, youth can engage with the community through school attendance, sports, and other extracurricular activities. The program is located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston.

     

    How You'll Be Making a Difference

    The Part-Time Cook position has the following responsibilities:

    + Cooks and prepares meals as required.

    + Responsible for stocking and stock rotation.

    + Receives and stores all food in compliance with food safety standards.

    + Maintains a clean and organized kitchen.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    + 2 – 3 years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.

    + ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.

    + Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.

    + Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.
